a romantic getaway
clean room salmon breakfast central location
i found our room quite super clean and cozy, a relaxing haven after our travels. the breakfast included a curry option i really enjoyed, alongside smoked salmon! the hotel's central location allowed us to easily explore nearby attractions, everything felt close.

This historic hotel provides an AMAZING experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms, though smaller than average, were nice and neat. The restaurant features five-star meals with thoughtfully portioned dishes.
The refreshments in the room were pretty basic, and fresh milk would have been a SIGNIFICANT improvement.

mixed experience at a cotswolds hotel
ceiling cracks squeaky door
the room itself was rather underwhelming, i have to say. cracks adorned the ceiling, somewhat ruining the aesthetic. plus, the sound of what i assume was housekeeping activity early in the morning wasn't exactly conducive to a peaceful start. perhaps earplugs should be considered a standard amenity...

sneaky charge cracked window
The breakfast was good, and the staff were pleasant enough.
I found the 10% service charge added to the entire bill quite irritating. I expect it only on restaurant charges. It felt sneaky. The room itself was not excellent. Cracks were visible in the ceiling, and the bathroom window had a noticeable crack.
